How ethicali began

The idea for ethicali began when I tried to shop in a way that aligned with my values: fair to people, kind to animals, and sustainable for the planet, but I kept hitting compromises. One store was fair trade but sold fur, another was vegan but unsustainable, and others had ethical products but questionable supply chains.

I created ethicali to make ethical shopping effortless, so you don’t have to choose between values or scrutinize every purchase. Here’s to mindful shopping from a business that truly cares!

Busy lives create clutter, and finding time to sort and donate unwanted items can be overwhelming. Our Declutter & Donate service makes it effortless, we declutter your space and ensure your items help those in need. Instead of traditional drop-offs, donations go directly to those in need.

Meet our founder, Sophia

The idea for ethicali came to me while I was studying ethics at university. I wanted to start buying products that inflicted the least amount of harm to people, animals, and our planet, but struggled to find a store that stood by all three values. Maybe they were fair trade, but sold meat. Maybe they were vegan, but not sustainable. Maybe they were good for the environment, but had a shady supply chain.

I created ethicali to fill this gap and empower people to shop ethically without having to check every item or compromise on their values.

It's also nice to shop from a business that truly holds these values, rather than a massive store that just sells anything.

    All products are fairly traded. We take great care in sourcing suppliers and manufacturers to ensure their workplace systems are ethical, and we pay a fair price for their goods.

  • Vegan

    All products are vegan and cruelty free. We believe animals are here with us, not for us so they will never be used in any of our products.

  • Sustainable

    Our products are environmentally friendly. They are either zero wase, reusable and/or recyclable. We seek manufacturers that use recycled materials.
